From ancient times to the present day, the rose has been one of the most admired and cultivated flowers in the world. Its history dates back to more than 35 million years ago, when the first wild species bloomed in Asia. Over time, different civilizations such as the Persians, Egyptians, Greeks and Romans began to cultivate them, making them a symbol of beauty, love and status.<\/span><\/p>\n

In Egypt, Cleopatra used rose petals to perfume her rooms, while in imperial Rome, roses decorated the banquets of emperors and were used as a bargaining chip in the perfume and medicine trade. During the Middle Ages, the rose became the emblem of monarchies and noble houses, as in the famous War of the Roses in England.<\/span><\/p>\n
